Her career expanded through notable collaborations with acclaimed author Andre Norton and numerous anthology projects co-edited with Martin H. Greenberg. She has also co-written works with various authors including Gene DeWeese and F. Lee Bailey.
More recently, Rabe has established herself in the mystery genre with the Piper Blackwell series, which began in 2018 and has grown to include five books. She also served as business manager and editor of the SFWA Bulletin for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America until 2013.
