Julie Campbell Tatham (1908-1999) was an American children's novelist best known for creating the Trixie Belden mystery series and writing several other popular young adult book series in the 1940s and 1950s.
Under her maiden name Julie Campbell, she authored the first six books in the Trixie Belden series and created the Ginny Gordon series for Whitman Publishing Co. The Trixie Belden series was later continued by other writers under the pseudonym Kathryn Kenny.
Writing as Julie Tatham, she also contributed to established series created by Helen Wells, including multiple volumes in both the Cherry Ames nurse series and the Vicki Barr flight stewardess series. Her writing career in children's literature spanned approximately 10 years from 1948-1958.
Born in Flushing, New York to an Army general, she married Charles Tatham Jr. in 1933 and had two sons. In addition to her children's books, she wrote works for adults focusing on Christian Science themes.
