📖 Overview
Seth Grahame-Smith is an American author and film producer who gained prominence in the late 2000s for pioneering the literary mashup genre. His breakthrough came with "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" (2009), which combined Jane Austen's classic novel with elements of zombie fiction, and became a New York Times bestseller.
Following his initial success, Grahame-Smith wrote "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" (2010), another bestselling novel that reimagined the 16th president as a secret vampire hunter. Both books were subsequently adapted into feature films, with Grahame-Smith serving as screenwriter for the latter.
Beyond his literary work, Grahame-Smith has established himself in television and film production. He co-created the MTV series "The Hard Times of RJ Berger" and has worked as a screenwriter for films including "Dark Shadows" (2012) and "The Lego Batman Movie" (2017).
Through his production company Katzsmith Productions, formed with partner David Katzenberg, Grahame-Smith has continued to develop various projects for both television and film. His work consistently blends historical or literary elements with horror and comedy genres.
