Jordan Ifueko is a Nigerian American fantasy author best known for creating the Raybearer series. Born in 1993 in Southern California to Nigerian parents, she draws inspiration from West African folklore and various world cultures in her storytelling.
Her debut novel "Raybearer" was published in 2020 and became a New York Times bestseller, earning nominations for the Andre Norton Award and Goodreads Choice Awards. The book was followed by its sequel "Redemptor," with a third installment in the series, "The Maid and the Crocodile," released in 2024.
Ifueko's early writing career included publishing Jane Austen-inspired Neopets fanfiction in the Neopian Times. Her work has also appeared in the speculative fiction magazine Strange Horizons, demonstrating her range within the fantasy genre.
