Beyond his corporate role, Nilekani has focused on philanthropic initiatives in education and urbanization through the EkStep Foundation, which he founded with his wife Rohini Nilekani. His second book, "Rebooting India: Realizing a Billion Aspirations" (2015), explores how technology can address India's major challenges in governance and public services.
