📖 Overview
The Old Willis Place follows Diana and her brother Georgie, two mysterious children who live in the woods near an abandoned manor house. The siblings must follow strict rules, including never leaving the property or letting themselves be seen by others, while they spend their time driving away the various caretakers who come to watch over the estate.
When a new caretaker arrives with his daughter Lissa, Diana sees a chance to break her isolation and make a friend. The children's initial encounter goes poorly, but Diana persists in trying to connect with Lissa despite the rules that bind her to the property.
As Lissa becomes determined to explore the old manor house, particularly the locked parlor where its last owner Miss Willis died, secrets about the property and its inhabitants begin to surface. The story combines elements of friendship, loneliness, and supernatural mystery while exploring the consequences of past events.
This ghost story examines themes of isolation and connection, showing how the desire for friendship can overcome fear and how the past continues to influence the present.
