📖 Overview
Thirteen-year-old Matt Thorsen lives in a small South Dakota town where the residents are descendants of Norse gods. As a descendant of Thor, Matt discovers he must recreate an ancient Viking legend alongside other modern-day descendants to prevent Ragnarök - the apocalyptic battle that will destroy the world.
Matt joins forces with Fen and Laurie Baldwin, descendants of the trickster god Loki, despite the historical rivalry between their ancestors. The three young heroes must embark on a quest across the United States to find other descendants and gather allies for the coming battle.
The story combines Norse mythology with contemporary American life, exploring themes of destiny, friendship, and the weight of inherited responsibility. Through their journey, the characters wrestle with questions of choice versus fate, and whether they are bound to follow in their ancestors' footsteps or forge their own paths.
