📖 Overview
Repairman Jack, an off-the-grid fixer who helps people with problems outside the law, takes on a case from Christy Pickering who is concerned about her daughter Dawn's relationship with an older man named Jerry Bethlehem. When the private investigator looking into Bethlehem disappears, Jack steps in to uncover the truth.
The investigation leads Jack into a web of connections between Bethlehem and the Creighton Institute, a facility for violent criminals, as well as a growing movement called the Kickers. As Jack digs deeper, he discovers disturbing information about Bethlehem's true identity and his connection to past crimes.
The case becomes increasingly complex as Jack races to protect Dawn while uncovering layers of deception involving genetic anomalies, hidden identities, and dark family secrets. The story ties into the larger mythology of the Repairman Jack series and its supernatural elements.
This installment in the Repairman Jack series explores themes of identity, heredity, and the ways the past echoes through generations. The novel continues Wilson's examination of how ordinary people confront extraordinary evil, both human and otherworldly.
