📖 Overview
Sarah Keller makes a living helping people disappear and create new identities. She and her five-year-old daughter Zoe have been in hiding themselves, living under false names to escape dangerous people from their past.
When Zoe is injured in an accident, her unique medical scans alert authorities to their location. Sarah must go on the run with Zoe while being pursued by both law enforcement and members of a fringe religious cult who will stop at nothing to find them.
The chase moves across the American Southwest as Sarah uses her skills as a skip tracer to stay ahead of her pursuers. She faces impossible choices between keeping her daughter safe and confronting the violent truth about her own history.
The novel explores themes of identity, the bonds between parent and child, and how far someone will go to protect what matters most. It raises questions about whether it's possible to truly escape the past and start over with a clean slate.
