📖 Overview
Remnants follows the survivors of Earth's destruction as they escape aboard the Mayflower spacecraft. Eighty people, including scientists, their families, and some unexpected additions, leave Earth moments before a massive asteroid impact destroys the planet.
After awakening from suspended animation, the survivors find themselves in an unfamiliar environment with many of their adult companions dead. The remaining group, now mostly teenagers, must navigate their new reality inside what they discover is an enormous alien spacecraft controlled by an artificial intelligence called Mother.
The survivors encounter various alien species and face immediate threats to their survival. They work to understand their surroundings, communicate with the spacecraft's AI system, and establish a new way of life in their strange environment.
The series explores themes of survival, adaptation, and human resilience in the face of complete upheaval. Through the lens of space travel and alien contact, the story examines how people - particularly young people - cope with loss and rebuild community in extreme circumstances.
