📖 Overview
Vampire Zero follows U.S. Marshal Laura Caxton as she hunts her former mentor, James Arkeley, who has become the very creature he once fought against - a vampire. As the world's former top vampire hunter, Arkeley proves nearly impossible to track, using his extensive knowledge to stay hidden while pursuing his own dark agenda.
The story centers on Arkeley's surviving family members, who become entangled in a dangerous game as their transformed patriarch returns with an unexpected offer. Caxton must protect the remaining Arkeleys while navigating bureaucratic obstacles, her new role as U.S. Marshal, and the challenges of hunting someone who knows every trick in her playbook.
In her desperate search, Caxton forms an unlikely alliance with Dylan Carboy, a vampire-obsessed young man who holds crucial information about Arkeley's whereabouts. The hunt intensifies as Arkeley eliminates former allies and leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.
The novel explores themes of loyalty, corruption, and the blurred lines between protecting and controlling those we love. It raises questions about whether someone can remain fundamentally themselves after a profound transformation.
