In the Tall Grass

📖 Overview

A brother and sister embark on a cross-country road trip when they pull over near a vast field of tall grass in Kansas. Upon hearing cries for help from a young boy inside the field, they venture in to offer assistance. The ordinary field of grass proves to be anything but normal, as distance and direction seem to operate according to different rules. The siblings become separated despite their attempts to stay together, leading to a desperate situation in the endless expanse of green. Cal and Becky's straightforward rescue attempt transforms into a struggle for survival as they encounter others trapped within the grass. Time and space bend in inexplicable ways as they search for an escape. This collaboration between Stephen King and Joe Hill explores themes of family bonds and the terror that can exist in seemingly mundane places. The novella stands as a testament to how ordinary landscapes can become portals to primal fears.
