📖 Overview
Blood Red Road follows eighteen-year-old Saba's quest through a lawless wasteland to rescue her kidnapped twin brother Lugh. After mysterious horsemen murder their father and take Lugh, Saba must leave her isolated home of Silverlake for the first time, bringing along her younger sister Emmi.
The journey leads Saba into brutal cage fighting matches in a place called Hopetown, where she forms alliances with fellow fighter Jack and a group of female warriors known as the Free Hawks. She discovers her brother's captors are connected to a powerful king who maintains control through an addictive drug and his violent enforcers, the Tonton.
Saba transforms from an isolated survivor into a fierce fighter as she pursues her brother across a harsh post-apocalyptic landscape. Her mission becomes more complex as she builds new relationships and uncovers the dark forces controlling what remains of civilization.
The novel explores bonds of family, the costs of survival, and how isolation and adversity shape identity in a world where order has collapsed. Through Saba's evolution from sister to warrior, it examines how purpose and connection can emerge from loss.
