Sovereign

📖 Overview

Sovereign is the final installment in Ted Dekker and Tosca Lee's trilogy, following Forbidden and Mortal. The story takes place in a dystopian world where human emotions have been eliminated from society, except for a small group of people who have found a way to feel through a special blood serum. Nine years after the events of Mortal, Rom Sebastian and his surviving followers face their greatest challenge yet. With only 36 of their original members remaining, they must unite against the oppressive force known as The Order while dealing with internal conflicts and diminishing resources. The novel combines elements of science fiction, fantasy, and spiritual allegory in its exploration of human emotion and identity. Through the conflict between those who can feel and those who cannot, the story examines themes of humanity, faith, and the price of true freedom.
