📖 Overview
A dangerous adventure unfolds in 1970s rural China, where thirteen-year-old Ming and his archaeologist father face persecution from local Communist officials. Ming's father must prove his theory about Emperor Qin's lost tomb or risk being sent to a labor camp.
Ming's world changes when he encounters a Terra-Cotta soldier who mysteriously comes to life. The ancient warrior becomes Ming's ally as they race to uncover the secrets of Emperor Qin's mausoleum and save Ming's father from imprisonment.
This historical fantasy weaves together two distinct time periods - China's ancient imperial past and the Cultural Revolution of the 1970s. Through Ming's story, the novel explores themes of friendship, courage, and the preservation of history in the face of political pressure.
