📖 Overview
In the sixth installment of The Edge Chronicles, Undertown faces a power struggle between multiple factions. The former ruler Vox Verlix remains trapped in the Palace of Statues while the Guardians of Night, Shrykes, and goblins control his former domains.
Rook Barkwater, a Librarian Knight, patrols the dangerous skies of Undertown during a period of mounting tension. The city's various districts have become battlegrounds, with Screetown - a wasteland of rubble - harboring particular dangers for those who venture into its depths.
As war looms between the different powers of Undertown, mysterious creatures emerge from Screetown's depths, and assassins target the now-imprisoned Vox Verlix. These events interweave with the larger conflict over control of the Edge's territories and resources.
The novel explores themes of power corruption, survival in hostile environments, and the consequences of unchecked ambition. Through its fantasy setting, it examines how civilizations can fracture under the weight of competing interests and ideologies.
