Virtual War

📖 Overview

Virtual War takes place in 2080 in a contained environment where humans live protected from the toxic outside world. Corgan, a genetically engineered 14-year-old, has been trained since birth to excel at virtual combat simulations. The Federation government selects Corgan to represent Western Hemisphere Coalition in a virtual war against other territories. He must work with two other young specialists - Sharla, a master strategist, and Brig, an expert in psychological warfare - to compete in a high-stakes battle that will determine control of a pristine island territory. The story examines questions about identity, free will, and the true nature of warfare in an age of advanced technology. Through Corgan's experiences, the novel explores what it means to be human in a world where genetic engineering and virtual reality have become the norm.
