📖 Overview
A commercial space flight carrying billionaire passengers encounters a catastrophic accident that leaves them stranded in orbit. Commander Kip Dawson finds himself alone and facing diminishing oxygen supplies aboard the crippled spacecraft.
NASA and other space agencies race against time to mount a rescue mission as Dawson begins typing his thoughts into the ship's computer. His messages, which he believes no one will ever read, begin transmitting to Earth when a systems glitch connects the computer to the internet.
The drama plays out both in space and on Earth as millions of readers become captivated by Dawson's transmitted chronicle, while rescue teams grapple with seemingly impossible technical and logistical challenges.
The novel explores themes of isolation, human connection in the digital age, and how people face mortality when stripped of all pretense. Through its stark orbital setting, the story examines the distance between public and private selves, and what remains when social facades fall away.
